No Starch Press Now Selling Books as PDFs

Our readers keep asking us to offer PDFs of our books, so we've decided to give it a try. You'll still be able to read our books electronically on sites like Books24x7 and Safari.com, but you can now buy selected No Starch Press books as PDFs directly from us. Just look for the "Buy PDF" button and place your order. You will receive your PDF in 1-2 business days via an Internet file transfer service. Keep an eye on your inbox for the link to download your PDF.

When you order a PDF from us, we'll watermark the PDF you received with your name and something like "PDF prepared especially for Bill Pollock" and send it to you. You'll be able to print the PDF and you can even share it with a friend, just like you would a real book. We trust our readers *and* we believe that electronic books should have the same reader rights as printed books. Like a printed book, you can share the PDF with a friend but you can't share it with everyone in the entire world.

So enjoy. And do give us feedback on our pricing strategy because we're really not sure how to price this fairly. Currently, our pricing is structured this way:

• Printed book – list price
• PDF – 35% off of list price
• Printed book plus PDF combo – list price plus 20% (about 30% less than if you purchased them separately)
